Atanu Das is an Indian archer. He was born in West Bengal, India on the 5th of April in the year 1992. He is famous for representing India in recurve men’s individual. He also received the Arjuna Award from the President of India, Ram Nath Kovind in the year 2020. He got an offer from the Bharat petroleum sports promotion board for the sports quota. He made his debut in the 2013 world cup mixed team and won a bronze medal.

He completed his schooling at Baranagar Narendranath Vidyamandir, Kolkata. Then he completed his graduation with a BA degree at Vinayaka Mission University, Salem, Tamil Nadu. He started growing his interest in archery at the age of 14 and joined an archery Academy in Kolkata to improve his skills.
In 2008 he started representing India in the International World Youth Championship where he won his first bronze medal. Then in 2010, he won a gold medal at the 33rd junior archery championships.

He has kept his parent’s information secret for privacy reasons. He has a sister whose name is Shreya Dey. On the 30th of June in the year 2020, he got married to Deepika Kumari who is also an Archer by profession. They got married in Morabadi, Ranchi, Jharkhand.
